  • 2000

    ELECTRICAL ENLIGHTENMENT FOUNDED

    ELECTRICAL ENLIGHTENMENT FOUNDED

    The beginning of a great adventure

    Electrical Enlightenment was founded in June of 2000 by Ron Soltis. The company engaged in electrical contractor training throughout the United States. The training was focused on contractors needs for business development, labor management, and estimating. In 2001 a shift in the U.S. economy had changed the contractor’s needs for training to quality estimating. The shift to providing estimating services to electrical contractors was immediate. Electrical Enlightenment turned its focus to electrical estimating.

    PLUMBING ENLIGHTENMENT ESTABLISHED

    PLUMBING ENLIGHTENMENT ESTABLISHED

    Expanding our services to the plumbing trade

    With great success in the electrical trade, we decided it was time to expand our services. We hired plumbing estimators and created a new division to serve contractors in the plumbing trade.

    Columbia Station, OH --> Olmsted Falls, OH

    Due to growth, we packed up and moved to a new location in Olmsted Falls, Ohio with more space for our estimating staff.

    ACCUBID & INTELLIBID

    THE ADDITION OF ACCUBID BY TRIMBLE & INTELLIBID BY CONEST SOFTWARE

    Staying up to date with advances in technology

    Electrical Enlightenment purchased new software and required each estimator to undergo software training to better serve our customers.

    SITEWORKS ENLIGHTENMENT ESTABLISHED

    SITEWORKS ENLIGHTENMENT ESTABLISHED

    Expanding our services to the earthworks trade

    With a need for quality earthworks estimators in the construction industry, we hired a seasoned estimator and created SiteWorks Enlightenment.

    MECHANICAL ENLIGHTENMENT

    PLUMBING ENLIGHTENMENT CHANGES TO MECHANICAL ENLIGHTENMENT

    New name. Same excellent services

    The name change to Mechanical Enlightenment was to better encompass the mechanical estimating services we perform at Mechanical Enlightenment. This was a direct result of the mechanical contracting industry's need for a full-service outsourced estimating department to include plumbing, HVAC, hydronics, and ventilation estimating.

    Three divisions operating under one umbrella organization

    Electrical Enlightenment, Mechanical Enlightenment, and SiteWorks Enlightenment began officially operating under the Enlightenment Companies umbrella.

    QUANTUM PROFESSIONAL SOFTWARE IS ADDED

    Additional software options to better serve our customers

    We purchased licenses for Quantum professional and trained our estimating staff to perform estimates using the new software.
